A symposium on teen-aged pregnancy in Ghana was held by the Ghana Union to mark its annual Women's Day celebrations on Saturday, October 29th, 2011 at Kista träff. The panelists were Vida Atta, Ladi Suberu and Baba Ibrahim-Nabigah who talked on various aspects of the problem. Anthony Turkson, ably as usual, chaired the function and brought in his usual jokes to liven the ocassion. Even though the function was not as well attended as had been hoped for, there were representatives from Uganda and Gambia who took the problem from the angles of their respective countries. The discussions were lively as contributors had different views on how to solve this age-old problem affecting all African countries. There were roasted chicken thighs, salad and soft drinks to consume after the function and the discussions went on as these were being consumed.
