Val2006 activities continue in Skarholmen
Saturday saw the turn of Skarholmen
to throb to the African rhythms of Ghana Union's own Agoroma. It was
a busy afternoon and the square was full of political activity as
all the parties were there to woo voters. Ghana Union's message was,
however, different and simple: to convince people, especially of
foreign origin, to go out and vote. Skarholmen was part of Ghana
Union's Val2006 campaign ably assisted by members of Friendship Association,
Kinpo and Gadangbe. The drumming attracted the attention of all the
political parties there and the general public. A two-year old girl
of Middle East background who was attracted by the drumming
of Agoroma danced for several minutes.
Among those present
was a representation from kulturforvaltningen.
