GaDangme Union marks fifth anniversary

The GaDangme union in Stockholm marked its fifth anniversary with a ceremony at Flemingsberg on Saturday 29th October, 2006. The ceremony was attended by all the members and selected guests among whom were the president of the Ghana Union in Stockholm, Micah Kissi, and delegates who attended the conference of Ghana Unions in the Nordic countries that took place the same day. Ms Comfort Aggrey, secretary of the union, talked about the history of the union since its formation in 2001. Daniel Lamptey, president, also addressed the meeting. Kobla Agbota from Norway and Emmanuel Kyere, representing Finland, addressed the gathering. Both expressed their admiration for the cordial relationship among the Ghanaians in Stockholm. The GaDangme union is a strong supporter of the Association of Nordic Ghana unions. There was a lot of dancing and real kenkey, yes, in dried corn leaves, what else? The Ghana Union wishes the GaDangme union the best on its birthday and further closer cooperation in the years to come.
